I haven’t heard much from Akon since the mid-2000s when he dominated the radio with hits like “I Wanna Love You”, “Ghetto” and “Locked Up”.
So I was pleasantly surprised to see that he had new music out recently. His new album, Akonda, was released in October and this song “Low Key” is one of the songs on there.
I like this afrobeat vibe – shows an Akon showing off his roots and I really like this sound.
I found “Low Key” while browsing my YouTube feed as this is one of my primary sources of discovering new music and music that I haven’t heard before.
I’m going to check out some more of Akonda because I find afrobeat to be a really fun vibe and Akon makes great music anyway.
This is the fourth new song I’m listening to for the month as part of my challenge to listen to a new song every day for 30 days.
I’ve actually listened to more new songs but this is the fourth one I’m blogging about as I only want to blog about one new song each day.
